The newlywed pair had their hearts set on a theme that embodied The Lord of The Rings Trilogy. Decorations, place settings, decorative lighting, all exuded a trip to a real life Middle Earth made famous by Tolkien’s trilogy.

Everything about the momentous occasion beamed elegance and refinement worthy of fabled royalty. Although the pair decided to take cues from a famous body of works, they seemed keen to make their own love story, and in doing so, used the services of Putting on The Ritz Catering “Our Perfect Day” package, in order to scribe the first chapter in their first day of the rest of their lives.

After the beautiful ceremony held on the Cloisters patio , guests of the happy couple were escorted into Cloisters Castle for cocktails. Working a bit of their own wizardry, the fellowship of Putting on The Ritz Cratering staff transformed the previous ceremony site into a fabulous setting for a joyous cocktail hour. High top tables adorned with floral pieces, and elegantly appointed seated tables for guests of the court. The royal guests were then presented with an enchanting selection of hors d’ oeuvres, coupled with the use of magical “Action Stations” consisting of authentically prepared Dim Sum, and meticulously crafted displays of Sushi.

At the conclusion of cocktail hour, guests were then escorted back into the Cloisters Castle , one of Baltimore’s favorite wedding sites , for the highly anticipated reveal of the main dining hall. The guests of this occasion were presented with what would be the first of three decadent, and meticulously served courses in a freshly prepared Caesar Salad, consisting of crisp, refreshing romaine, a light yet rich freshly made Caesar dressing, served in a delicate, and sumptuous Parmesan crisp bowl. Following this enchanting first course, was a palate – cleansing and invigorating capsule of freshly prepared lemon ice, using the juice of fresh harvest-ripe lemons, and adding a touch of sweetness to tingle the taste buds.

Shortly after, guests were greeted with a seductive paring of a perfectly seared 6 ounce Beef Tenderloin medallion, accompanied on the plate by a true Maryland staple, a freshly prepared four ounce all jumbo lump crab cake, made with sweet Maryland blue crab meat, and barely held together by a light blend of breading and a savory imperial sauce. Carefully crafted sides of Potatoes Vanessa, and fresh, snappy haricot vert were perfect accompaniments to the wonder of the served entrée. The wedding cake would end up stealing the show however, as the cutting and magic of that moment often does, as guests were served cut wedges of the centerpiece of the ceremony, accompanied by whatever beverage they preferred with their dessert.

Once this absolutely fantastical dinner service was finished, guests were able to let loose their fun side by hopping into the photo booth provided by Baltimore’s Premier Photo Booth Company, ixelated Photo Booth. Adding to this fun was the DJ’s impeccable timing in getting the reception started and getting everyone in the royal, magical castle dancing the night away and making memories to last a lifetime. Many weddings come and go, but I can safely say it is hard to recall ever having so much fun, and enjoying so much working with a couple as I did with bride and groom Alana and Chris, and of course, a special thank you always has to be extended to Alana’s Mother Barbara.
