Erica and David were married on June 12th, 2016 at the beautiful Oxon Hill Manor. The Manor sits high on a hill and offers a picturesque view of the Potomac River from the garden area. The grounds include formal English gardens, rose bushes surrounding a reflecting pool, and a large brick patio for outdoor entertaining. The lovely couple held their ceremony in the garden facing the reflecting pool and their reception took place under the spacious tent provided by Allied Party Rentals.

The weather was warm but gorgeous at the Oxon Hill Manor Wedding. Not a single cloud in the sky! The perfect day to officially unite this little family. Erica and David decided to have the traditional “Here comes the Bride” for Erica’s processional down the aisle and Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March” for the Newlywed’s recessional. Erica and David only took a few steps until their son, Charlie cried out for his parents. David picked little Charlie up and the adorable family proceeded to recess up the aisle. How cute!

Although the music that they chose was traditional, their guestbook and escort table was anything but! They decided to put the guest seating in unique standing pane photo frames and they had a skull and crossbones as their guestbook. Yes, a skull and crossbones! Apparently, the skull and crossbones guestbook was an ode to where Erica and David met in college. They both went to school at East Carolina and their mascot is Pee Dee the Pirate! It also had their new monogram engraved in it, which is apparently big in the south. This Oxon Hill Manor wedding was quite memorable none the less.

As for the beautiful Oxon Hill Manor wedding reception, the couple decided to have passed hors d’oeuvres and a buffet style dinner. The hors d’oeuvres they chose consisted of our Petite Crab Cakes served with our homemade cocktail sauce, Jumbo Scallops wrapped in Bacon, Coconut Chicken Skewers, and Petite Beef Wellington. The extensive buffet featured Char Grilled Salmon served with six different sauces, Braised Chicken Provençale, Hand Carved New York Strip, Risotto Milanese, and Sautéed Spinach with Zucchini and Squash.
