The Cloisters, built in 1932, is a castle settled on a high hill on a 60-acre estate of secluded woods in Lutherville, Maryland. The original owners designed The Cloisters themselves, basing their design on the late medieval French and English architecture they saw during their travels in Europe. The Cloisters takes its name from the cloistered, or covered, walkway surrounding the garden located next to the Gallery. Enjoy your special occasion in the baronial elegance of The Cloisters Castle. It is the perfect location for weddings, receptions, parties, and business events.
The imposing edifice and the medieval elements incorporated both inside and outside makes it an unforgettable setting for your wedding, whether it has a Renaissance or more traditional theme. Bar and bat mitzvahs, Sweet 16 parties, holiday and other receptions all find The Cloisters to be a terrific venue! Accommodations are easily arranged for 120 people seated with dancing, 150 seated, or 200 standing. Wedding ceremonies may be held inside or outside in the courtyard or the amphitheater. |
