Where Memories Are Made

Westminster Hall

Located in the heart of Baltimore city, Westminster Hall is a creatively restored Gothic church built in the mid 1800’s.

Westminster Hall combines the elegance of stained glass windows, carved oak woodwork and an 1882 Johnson pipe organ with the conveniences of track lighting, flexible seating options and a catering kitchen.

A popular and unique setting for celebrations of all kinds, Westminster Hall has seen many wedding ceremonies and receptions. The hall accommodates up to 250 gusts for a seated dinner with space for cocktail reception and dancing. With a count of 175 or fewer, both your ceremony and reception can be conveniently held in this one location.

Westminster Hall features a unique twist to most ordinary event locations. The church, which was completed in 1852, was built more than 60 years after the Westminster Burying Grounds were established. The Burying Grounds are the final resting place of many famous people, including Edgar Allan Poe, General Sam Smith, and General James McHenry. To avoid disturbing the existing graves, the original church building was constructed on brick piers above some of the tombs, creating catacombs, which can be toured by visitors.
