Carnegie Institution for Science Wedding- Washington D.C. Catering

On August 20^th, 2016, Jeanette & Robert were joined in holy matrimony at the Carnegie Institution for Science, located in Washington D.C. The couple held their Carnegie Institution for Science Wedding Ceremony in the beautiful atrium with a plethora of natural light shining through the windows, enough to light up the entire room. The intimate ceremony was beautiful and touching. When the couple read their personally written vows to each other, there was not a single dry eye in the house! What a tear jerker! It concluded with the traditional “Jumping the Broom.” The broom ceremony has become one of the most popular African traditions and represents the joining of two families, its showing respect and pays homage to those who came before us and paved the way.

After the memorable Carnegie Institution for Science wedding ceremony, our skilled bartenders had the Bride & Groom’s signature drinks ready for their guests to pick up and enjoy. The bride’s drink was a “Moscow Mule” consisting of Ginger Beer & Vodka, topped off with fresh mint leaves. The groom’s drink was a “Groom & his Men” consisting of Rum & Coke, a classic favorite! As their guests were enjoying their drinks and sneaking in the occasional bride and groom photo, hors d’oeuvres were passed around including Petite Chicken & Waffles, Sesame Chicken Bites, Cashew Shrimp Crisps, and Scallops Wrapped in Bacon.

The Carnegie Institution for Science Wedding Reception was beautifully decorated with hints of Rose Gold, Silver, and Gold with the collaboration of the wonderful Completely Yours Events Planning team & our Putting on the Ritz team.

Jeannette & Robert decided to go with a choice served meal option for their wedding guests. Their selections were a choice between our New York Strip Steak, Cognac Soy Tilapia, or our vegan favorite, Autumn Vegetable Napolean. These entrees were served with our infamous Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Balsamic Glazed Green Beans.

The ceremony was beautiful! The reception was elegant! With the help of all of the wonderful vendors and the gorgeous Carnegie Institute for Science, we were able to make Jeanette & Robert’s dream come true! Congratulations to the two of you!
